Haste to the Wedding
« on: July 27, 2012, 09:04:12 am »
Over 3000 words - sorry, got carried away!

This is, obviously, after book 6, methinks (unless we have to wait for book 7. Eep!).

Self-depreciating comments blah blah, I don't love Amaranthe's voice here, not as sweet as I wanted it to be, blah blah, but I had a ton of fun writing this. I won't be able to check back in till late Sunday, but hope you enjoy it over the weekend!

Ok, squee, suqee and more squee!  Of course Sicarius wouldn't have proposed marriage like an ordinary person.  I'm still laughing.  Slipping into the office in the middle of th night to fill paperwork? That was too funny.  And sweet.  And hoping they do really end up together and happy :)

I loved this it was so cute! (And it seemed more fitting than seeing them having an actual wedding) Although I wonder what the rest of the group's reaction would be like. "You got married??!! We didn't even know you were together!!"

I agree with Meera, much better than a frufru wedding. ;) Excellent story!

Sic seemed to emote more than normal, but I guess that's a given when the Forge plot is over, Amaranthe and Sespian are safe, and everything is right in the world. :P But I very much enjoyed it!

I LOVE THIS. Seriously. I think this is my new favourite piece of fanfiction. I think you've got both of them pretty spot on. I don't know about the timing being immediately after they defeat Forge - I get the feeling Sicarius is more of a slow-burn kind of guy - but other than that it was fantastic! I also love how Sicarius talks in this one. So true to character in my opinion!

Excuse me for a moment...

Yes, I loved this story enough to go a draw a picture showing you how much I loved it. That's how much I loved it.

SO great!! Very clever! I can't believe how gratifying it was to imagine Forge thwarted and their exoneration complete!

And I agree with others, love the idea of a non-traditional proposal and underground bunker/love-nest. ;D

I had fun imagining the clerks and aftermath of finding that form...

ALL over the newspapers the next day I am sure!  No way to keep it quiet.  ;)

That would actually be a funny little sequel for that fanfic.  Books or Mal bring back the newspaper with the news spread on the front page lol.
