I'm gonna say: Sic and Am sexy time. It'll happen but we won't get any details.

More specifically, the birthday party Maldynado threw for Amaranthe there!

I don't think nothing much happened there, at least not as long as Am was around lol

I just remember a line in EE3 where Basilard was smirking at the memory of the party that made me want to know what happened. It's probably one of those things that's far funnier if it's left a mystery, though, haha.

Just Akstyr experimenting with girls full stop.

In ee5 chapter 14, amaranthe did mention that she would not make the mistake again of a night of carousing with Maldynado. Somaybe it was her birthday party.

What guys like Maldynado use for contraception ('Turgonian Letters' anyone?)

Well, functional preservatives were around for sure since 16th Century something. Modern times just improved... ease of use & discard by replacing sheep skin (and intestine) first with rubber (1855), then latex (1920), then polyurethane (1998) and therelike. So the things were definitely around in steam times, though considered expensive, I think. But then, washing and reusing was common enough...

...gah, that essay on syphilis definitely *stuck* in mind!  :P
