Steampunk Tampax? Lol! Now I'm thinking of tampons with... gears :o
Once you've made sure that the signal gets through
There's one final thing that I want you to do
Put me where I'll see stars, so that I can see you
And I'll soar like a leaf on the wind

What guys like Maldynado use for contraception ('Turgonian Letters' anyone?)

Well, functional preservatives were around for sure since 16th Century something. Modern times just improved... ease of use & discard by replacing sheep skin (and intestine) first with rubber (1855), then latex (1920), then polyurethane (1998) and therelike. So the things were definitely around in steam times, though considered expensive, I think. But then, washing and reusing was common enough...

That makes my skin crawl.

Mine, too. I definitely wouldn't want to do that washing & drying.

There is always the "bail out" option.  Might be as effective as the "tea" but less so than the intestines.

All I can think of now are parachutes! Heh.

Anyway, I believe they call the people who practice this method "parents".

I still laugh whenever I think about the scene in EE1 when Amaranthe is watching Sicaius training in the ice house and thinking "NOT going to be attracted to the amoral assassin." Makes me wonder just what other fantasies she's had since then that Lindsay hasn't bothered to mention. :o

I forgot about that! Oh they've come such a long way.  :P

Don't think LB needs to mention them in the books, we're doing a fine job for her.

Yes, but I want CANON fantasies. Like what's the official Amaranthe opinion on bathtubs versus showers??

...actually, we got that one answered in EE5 (bathtubs, natch).

But still, other important details, like leather, need to be public!
