An unlikely ambush
« on: December 15, 2012, 04:37:45 pm »
This is a short SPOV from the end of Deadly Games. Enjoy.
"Oh good," Maldynado said. "Isabel got out."

Yes. Took me a moment to realize it was a nickname and not a typo. :D I can just see Sicarius potentially being irritated enough to think that
Amaranthe/Sicarius fangirl, who wonders why she has a fondness for fictional characters that she'd suspects she'd flee if she met 'em in real life.

I wasn't too sure about it, it seemed a bit immature for a middle-aged assassin, but in the end I couldn't resist mwahahahahaha!

I found the idea of our favorite assassin acting like a teenager interesting.  His emotional development was intentionally stunted in that area by Hollowcrest & co. so his reactions might seem a bit immature because this is the first time he's had to deal with such.

I found it a fun story. I like the "he changed his mind" part. ;)

Yeah that was my idea too, I wanted him to consider options such as starting a fire as viable choices to actually talking to Am. Poor little stunted assassin  ::)

I love the time frame you chose to represent! When I read Deadly Games, I wondered how Sicarius arrived at the decision to interrupt the date. It's such fun to ponder the workings of Sicarius' mind, though I'm sure many of the gears and mechanisms are frightening.

But that's part of the allure, isn't it?

She's probably used to his stalkerish ways by now, although I would be so freaked out if I came home to find a sketch of myself.   :o
