A Family Affair
« on: February 01, 2013, 05:32:15 pm »
I thought I'd take a break from killing people (in a literary sense) and write a little pre-canon. It's the first time I've tried a back story so comments are much appreciated. Chapter one is here, more coming soon...

While I admit to some confusion (am I forgetting something about a failed marriage for Mal?) this was well done, thanks!

Although I love it when you kill people off... :)

I'm assuming this one could be subtitled "How Maldynado got disowned"

Thanks for all your comments guys. I think Mal's mom may end up having a fatal accident with an industrial blender...

Don't worry, more undeserved deaths coming soon!

Well now you've gone and blown my epic finale, I swear I had them fooled. ;) I think you owe me a rhyme for that...

OK:

"A Marblecrest's lot," he bemoaned,
"Means doing what the family condoned.
"To marry a shrew,
They want me to do,
I'd much prefer to be disowned."

Have we discovered the talent behind Mr. Stabby? Or is that poet still at-large?
It's possible we remember the events a little differently.

Nope...Mr. Stabby and I are separate and distinct, despite the fact that we both appear to have a fondness for 12th century french poetry formats and limericks. (What can I say...great minds think alike!).

Maybe we need to start a poetry thread to post all the stuff that would otherwise get hidden in the replies on other threads.  Hmmmm.

I'm up for a poetry thread. Thank you K2N2, I found your verse inspiring..

There once was a girl with a face like a toad
She waddled around like a wide bearing load
Her daddy was rich
And I was her pick
So I inevitably took for the road.
"Oh good," Maldynado said. "Isabel got out."
