Akstyr: Dylan O'Brien

Sespian: Like everyone else said; Ben Barnes.  He's so princely.  I've been in love with him since forever!

Basilard:  Woody Harrelson?  I don't know.  http://www.myhungergames.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/woody-harrelson-in-2012.jpg

I love your choice for Akstyr, and I wouldn't have thought of Woody for Basilard, but without the hair I can actually really see it.

I think Penelope Cruz and Morena Baccarin might be too sexy for Amaranthe.  o_O
I always saw her as someone kind of like Callie from BSG.
Shiri Appleby maybe:

Or (and it pains me to suggest it) Vanessa Hudgens.  But I consider her only because she did Sucker Punch.  (I'm one of the 3 people in the world who liked it.)

For Books, maybe Michael Biehn.  I think he's aged well, but I did always have a crush on Hicks.  :D

Hmmm...I like Penelope Cruz for Amaranthe. What do you guys think of Jeremy Renner for Basilard?

I like Jeremy Brenner for anything.   I kinda think Siccarius......

I agree with your perspective of Amaranthe. Anything too sexy would be almost far fetched IMO. And I really like your Books choice. I've never seen that one before but  oddly enough it fits :)

@Remembered Word: choice for Akstyr is great! It's one of the best I've seen tbh. Not too baby faced haha

*le gasp!*  If you enjoy SciFi at all you MUST have seen Terminator (he was Reese) or Aliens (he was Hicks)!!!!  The Abyss?!  Navy SEALS?
I was madly, madly MADLY in love with him for years before I even understood what it was to have a celebrity crush!  :D

Note to self: Add Terminator and Aliens to summer movie watch list. :P And I love me some SciFi. ;) I'm always interested in those kinds of movies. Thanks for the suggestions. ^^ And I have to say, Mr. Biehn is quite attractive with that scruffy look. Mmm... I will be looking for him in movies/shows to come!

For Amaranthe, I've always pictured Allison Scagliotti ( http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1270095/ ), mostly because when I read Amaranthe's lines with her voice and delivery in mind, it makes everything sparkle.  But the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Natalie Morales ( http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2295540/ ) in the role.  (Loved her in Middleman.  Did anyone else watch that?  Based on its rapid cancellation, I'm guessing not...)

Sicarius has been irrevocably cast as a young Peter Weller in my head from day one.  I mean, come on: http://snipurl.com/23lqicm .   Just give him a bit of a shave, and how perfect would he be?  Where's that handy dandy pocket-sized time machine when I need it?!

Daniel Craig--oh dear, the movie would be ruined for me if he were cast, though I can't deny that he'd do a reasonable job.  (A bit bulky, though.)  My husband made a snarky jugears comment about him once, and the phrase, "What, me worry?" immediately branded itself on my brain.  Now all I can see when I look at him is Alfred E. Neuman.  (You're welcome.)

Clooney, now Clooney I am reserving as my pick for Rias, although I could see plenty of others working nicely in the role.  Oh, but that reminds me: Stephen Lang ( http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002332/ ) is so very Bocrest that I can't even begin to think of anyone else in the role.

I always picture Monica Raymund (http://www.imdb.com/media/rm747015680/nm2834669) as Amaranthe when I think about someone playing her. In my head she looks different but I think Monica is definitely someone that is really close.

Sicarius ... would have to be Michael Fassbender (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1055413/) from X-Men Origins, especially that scene when he's in Argentina and looks extremely attractive. Probably needs a bit more of a tan though.

I actually agree with the idea of Chris Hemsworth as Maldynado. I think it would work :)

Books strikes me as a Tim Roth sort of character (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000619/), maybe 10 years younger.

Basilard and Akstyr are harder to pin down - they're the least formed in my mind so I guess it stands to reason that they're also the hardest to picture in the real world!

Maldynado and Ian Somerhalder have become inextricably linked in my head.

with smirk: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm293575424/nm0813812
with hat AND smirk: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3132266496/nm0813812

He's usually more clean-shaven.

and kudos to the Shiri Appelby love, as I was a Roswell fan. (Or tried to be. The train wreck that show was!) Although I can't use her voice for Amaranthe, what with all her annoying "endinks" of words like "thinkink." I can't imagine Amaranthe that sloppy with words!

lmao - I HATE the way she talks!  She always sounds like she's trying to chew on her lips and isn't quite ready to let the words out, maybe?  I could never figure out what it was exactly, but it's annoying!

Bradley James is a good choice, But Channing Tatum just looks too young. I dunno. It's so hard to chose someone awesome looking enough for Sicarius.

For Sicarius, I've always imagined a young, rougher looking, Keifer Sutherland, but, if his hair were to be dyed blonde, maybe Hugh Jackman could pull him off?  :-\ I was also looking at pictures of Jason Lewis, http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0507314/ , who kind of fits appearance wise.  I've never seen him act though.  Hmm...

You have no idea how many times I wish Hugh Jackman could play Sicarius. I'm just not sure he has the right face.  :-[

You and me both, sister.  Or Gerard Butler.  I would watch him in just about anything.   /drool

I actually think Matt Bomer would make a really good Maldynado (he's probably a bit on the lean side but overall he has that charming air about him!) (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0093589/)

Nicholas Hoult would be a cool Akstyr (except he's maybe 5 years too old for the part ... but whatevs) (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0396558/)

If there were a brown-haired, brown-eyed Emma Stone, she would be cool as Amaranthe. I think she's incredibly likeable and intelligent. One of my favourite actresses at the moment.
